When man comes to salvation through the Grace of God a Trust is established via Faith. Many people believe there is a God, but until there is a Trust established between God and man through Faith & man is able to give God his life and ask God to forgive his sin & come into his life and save him, then there is a separation between man & God. Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary and took the sins of mankind on His back. Through this eternal life was offered to every man, woman, and child, but there is a way for man to accept the salvation.
Eph 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast .
One of the best Scriptures that shares this way with us is Romans Chapter 10 verses 9 & 10.
9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Within these verses of Scriptures lies the start of a Faith between man & God that gives us eternal life. Verse 9 explains that we must confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, but further than that we have to believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. If you can believe that much in Christ, then salvation through God’s Grace is REAL. What I love is that verse 10 explains the process and makes Faith come to life. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
You ask, “What do you confess?” Simply your sins! Anything we do that is against God and His Will is SIN. Many evangelist have a “SINNERS” Prayer. And this is fine, but we can’t just speak this prayer, we must earnestly pray it believing God to hear and forgive the sins.
In verses 11-13 we see this Faith more clearly.
Rom 10:11-13
11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Because of this TRUST, when we accept the saving Grace of God we will NEVER be put to shame. It doesn’t matter if we are Jew or Gentile, this Saving Grace is offered to all of mankind. I have seen people that have found this belief and faith quickly, and I have also seen those that it took some time, and hard praying for this belief & Faith to happen. Verse 13 tells what happens when you do what is said in verse 9 & 10. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord WILL be saved.”
There is a Trust developed in God through Faith given us to believe that Jesus took our sins on His shoulders when he died on the Cross of Calvary. Also believing that God Raised Him from the dead. This happened to me at the age of 12, and that Faith grew years after year eventually drawing me to Him as a minister, and this Faith has grown each year of my ministry for Him.
This Faith grows through reading God’s Word (The Bible) and talking to Him (Through Prayer). What stops our Faith from growing? When we don’t daily read the Bible and/or daily stop praying. God The Father couldn’t look at His Son Jesus on the Cross of Calvary because of the sins Jesus took on His shoulders. The same thing happens to us today. When we don’t daily pray and ask God to forgive our sins, these sins separate us from God. It essence these sin build a wall between us and God. It is only when we ask God for forgiveness of these sins that this wall is torn down. When sin stands between us and God we get into what as Christians we call a back-sliden condition.
As you can see it is VERY important to DAILY confess our sins and ask forgiveness for them. When are dedicated to doing this our Faith grows daily. When we don’t that our Faith stops growing, and the part of forgiveness we call Rededication of ourselves to the Lord. Some people say that if we are Christians we no longer sin, but that is just NOT so. There are sins of commission and also sins of Omission. We sometimes commit sins, and then there are times we just DON’T something God wants us to do that is Omission.
Trust between us and God teaches us Trust in general. Until we understand to be true in our Faith in God, we cannot learn to be true to our friends and neighbors. That goes forward into our daily lives businesses and integrities. Our reputations come from being TRUSTED in everything we say and do. Strong Faith gives us a trusted reputation. If we ever lose our trusts, we find it hard to rebuild that trust. I remember when I was growing up how a hand-shake between friends and neighbors was as good as a contract, but this day and age it seems everything has to be in writing and legally attested.
I am so glad I have a Trust in God, and also that I know He Trusts me to do His Will daily. Meet Him first thing everyday & seek His will with every step you take for Him that day. You know I am the only one that do that (between me & God), and you are the only one that can do that for you. You see my Faith is between me & God, not me, you, & God. I share my Faith every time I witness for Him & so do you.
From a Heart of Love,
