Trained Up

Few are the days that our fathers had to train us up. They did what they thought best, and for this, no one can blame them. But God always does what is best, and His instruction leads to sanctity. We participate in God’s holiness when God trains us. God begins training us when we believe in Jesus. We become Christlike when we have faith. Faith in Christ opens the door to God’s involvement in our lives. Without God’s tutoring hand, we are reduced to becoming man-pleasing, sin-loving people, devoid of integrity.
Sometimes God’s school has hard knocks. It’s not always easy to learn of God. But one thing is for sure, God’s instruction always leads to peace. If we’re sad today, joy comes in the morning. God never keeps us in heaviness. There is calm delight at the end of God’s lesson. Eventually sorrow gives way to joy.
Therefore, lift up your hands which are hollow, and be filled with the abundance of God. Don’t let your strength relax, for you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Make a level path, free of all pitfalls from hell. No more limping along, in frustrated failure. We need to fix our faith on Jesus so that we are not turned out of the way. Jesus is not a treatment, He is our cure. It’s much better to be made whole by God’s hand of nurturing love, by faith in Jesus, than to be deflected into hell, hell on earth and also afterwards.
In Jesus’ name, and through faith in His death and resurrection, we are healed, raised up, made whole, lifted high, thoroughly trained by God, and brought to a place of peace, straightness, and good fruit. Amen!
