"What Is Fellowship"

And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything

they had.

--Acts 2:44 (NLT)

"Fellowship" is a great word that Christians often use. But do we know

what fellowship originally meant in the early church? The word

"fellowship" used in Acts 2 is the Greek word koinonia. It is a

difficult word to translate into English because of its many shades of

meaning. It can be translated "fellowship," "communion,"… Continue

THE PASSAGE OF TIME.

I wish that you are enjoying the blessings of our God, together with your family.

Well I hope that this be a blessing to you as it was for me.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1:

"there is a time for everything, and season for every activity under heaven:"

God has given humans the ability to nurture, interact, reproduce and be perishable. God has given us a certain time to live and act. It allows us to gain experience and education.

One man… Continue

BY HIS LIGHT I WALK THROUGH DARKNESS

"The picture of God's lamp shining on Job's head symbolized divine blessing and success." - Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Commentary

"Those that have the brightest sun-shine of outward prosperity must yet expect some moments of darkness. They are sometimes crossed, sometimes at a loss, sometimes melancholy. But those that are interested in the favour of God, and know how to value it, can, by the light of that, walk cheerfully and comfortably through all the darkness of this vale of… Continue

Our Need by Joe La Bianca

Hebrews 7:26

Such a high priest meets our need - one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

Jesus meets our needs. We have needs, you know. If you don’t know this, you are deceived. If you do, there is real hope for you.

What needs of ours are met by Jesus? Well first, Jesus is holy. How is the holiness of Jesus a need of ours? Don’t we need our own holiness? We have no holiness, people. All have… Continue

THE LAST BIKER!

The Last Biker...The old ones stand out now, their numbers dwindling down. They're sad loss to the American scene, these individualists with the worn down clothes, saddles and faces. You can still see them sometimes, the real ones, some in packs, not as large as a while ago, sometimes alone.

The alone one is the best. One who's been there a long time, staying in the life he loves, never giving into a system that sucks you up like a vortex if you slip just one foot into it. He's got his… Continue

GOD'S PLAN FOR WOMEN.

I just want to start telling you a experience mine. I went to the hospital to visit the husband of a woman. The husband was delicate and wife asked me to pray for him. We went to visit and to be ministering there, suddenly the husband began to ask forgiveness to his wife, with an insistence, crying. One other embraced. I do not know why.

Out of the hospital the wife talked me because he asked forgiveness. She told me that when her husband was healthy, despised to her, he injured to… Continue

If there ever were a year to remember...

It would be 2009. And now that it's on the way out;

My heart is aware and filled with gratitude for all the provision and support I have received throughout the past year. Many thanks go out to you, my family, friends, and fans for listening, caring and sharing yourself with me so graciously. We have achieved so very much with very little.

The economy has been trying us all and the news is often saddening. Our brothers and sisters, friends and family have had their… Continue

What’s Your Next Address?

Let’s say that I currently live at 1234 Anywhere Lane, Somewhere, USA . I have no plans for moving and there is nothing in the works like an offer on a new residence. If I told you that in X years from now I will be living at Y address, what would you think? Here are a few of your options: (1) "Wow, he’s smart. How does he know that?" (2) "Come on, what’s the trick?" or (3) "OK, this guy is a loony bird, and he can’t prove it anyway. Nobody can do that." The third response, I would venture to… Continue

The Religious Mind by Joe La Bianca

I met a religious friend and tried to tell him the gospel. He didn’t understand. There was a sort of spiritual blindness that was keeping him from understanding something that my 5 year old daughter understands.

I don’t say this to be mean. It’s just true. Maybe I am a poor communicator but I got nowhere with this person. He has so much other stuff in his mind that is robbing him by way of distraction. He had different, religious definitions… Continue

The Renewal Path ,,,,,,,

When Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, "If you return to the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the Lord, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines,” (1 Samuel 7:3).

With the cares of this world and our busy schedules, it is easy to drift away from God. The same is true for the people that lived in Samuel’s time, and as such, Samuel explained to the… Continue

THESE ARE THE ONES WHOM GOD CALLS "GREAT"!

In Luke 1, two men are mentioned as being "great." Luke 1:15 says of John the Baptist - "For he shall be great." Luke 1:5 says - "There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea" - commonly known as Herod the Great. John was "great in the sight of the Lord." Herod was "great" in the sight of himself & of his court.

Which was the really great man?

Are you striving to be "great in the sight of men" or "great in the sight of the Lord" ?

"Those are great indeed that… Continue

LIKE A BURROWING MOLE OR A SOARING EAGLE?

"In worshipping God we must lift up our souls to Him. Prayer is the ascent of the soul to God; God must be eyed and the soul employed. Sursum corda - Up with you hearts, was anciently used as a call to devotion. With a holy contempt of the world and the things of it, by a fixed thought and active faith, we must set God before us, and let out our desires towards Him as the fountain of our happiness."

"He who is content with the husks will be reckoned with the swine. If we suck our… Continue

"Take A Little Time" The Story!

Hello Friends and Christian Family,

As I am growing as a Christian and Woman of God, I am learning that my testimony and story can heal other people. I wrote the song "Take A Little Time" in 2007. I was going through a second divorce and was feeling down and depressed about myself because of my past mistakes. I was feeling alone and felt I had noone to turn to at that time. When we are down we fool ourselves into thinking that noone cares or understands, and we are the only one going… Continue

A LITTLE ONE HAS BECOME A THOUSAND

This message is prophetic. It applies to all those who has been going through a time of great barrenness in their spiritual walk with the Lord or in their ministry.

For the longest time, you may have felt the chastening hand of the Lord - stripping away at your life - so to speak - causing great self-judgment and examination. At times, things - that have happened - did not make any sense whatsoever. You have cried out unceasingly for answers from the Lord.

It seems as… Continue

WITH GROANINGS WHICH CANNOT BE UTTERED

"He (God) takes the meaning of our tears, The language of our groans." - Charles Spurgeon

In praying, words may be sincere and truthful, yet they may not be able to express the full meaning of the supplicant. That is when the soul reaches out to a language that is unutterable - consisting of unuttered groanings, voiceless moanings, silent musings, and inward mournings. These are expressions that are more than the one praying can express or explain in ordinary language. They are the… Continue

Evolution

The Hypothesis of Evolution by Joe La Bianca

I went to a blog site and looked up the word science. I noticed that evolution was everywhere. Evolution is not even called a science, it is admitted to be only a theory. But that’s not even true. In truth, evolution is only a hypothesis. A hypothesis is just an assumption. Someone makes an assumption, and then goes out to either prove or disprove the assumption. Science, which is a word that means observable evidence, has disproved the… Continue

Thanksgiving is over... let's move on!

Ahh, the smell of turkey, stuffing and freshly baked pumpkin pie. And how about that turkey skin? Mmm, Mmm, Mmm... you know, that's where all the vitamins are! It's now just a fading memory, so rather than prepping the bird, vacuuming, setting the table and talking about what we are thankful for, we can move on to the next season.
