The Arrogance of Atheism by Joe La Bianca

There are many contemptible things about atheism. One is the arrogance that some atheists display. They say that they do not need God, that all they need is themselves. They think they are self-sufficient. Let me show you that humans are not self-sufficient.

I saw a show where the host fell into freezing water to test hypothermia. The capillaries in his hands and feet closed down. The body was giving up on the extremities in order… Continue

Letter from Jesus about Christmas --

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My… Continue

"What God Deserves"

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a

loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet,

giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.

--Luke 17:15-16 (NKJV)

I remember the first time I said, "Praise the Lord!" It seemed like a

very awkward phrase to utter. All of my Christian friends would say

it, and I thought, I am going to say that now. I consciously thought

about it first. But I had a hard time… Continue

THINGS WILL MANIFEST

Are you hiding any secret sin? It will come to the light before long.

Are you doing great deeds unnoticed? They cannot and will not stay hidden.

The true character of every man, woman, and child will break forth in due time.

"There are arrangements in the divine government for bringing out the character of every man so that it may be clearly understood...There are arrangements for developing every man's character, and it will be ultimately known what he is...There is much… Continue

“Walk humbly before your God.”

“Walk humbly before your God.” What does it mean to be humble?

Being humble is the opposite of being proud. Pride says “I have done it all myself.” Humility says “Every good gift I have was given to me by God.” Pride says “I am the king of the world.” Humility says “Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and I am His servant.”

Pride says “I am the best.” Humility says “Let me prefer others above myself and give to others.” Pride and selfishness say “It is all… Continue

"Give Thanks . . . in Everything"

Sometimes, worship and thanksgiving can be a sacrifice. That may be

because we are down or depressed or things aren't going all that well

for us. Maybe hardship or tragedy has struck our lives in some way and

we don't want to thank God.

Yet the Bible urges us to give thanks to the Lord. Psalm 106:1 says,

"Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His

mercy endures forever."

We are told in Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you… Continue

WHAT EVERY MINISTER NEEDS IS A FRESH VISION

"The vision of God always brings the revelation of the utter worthlessness of self, an indispensable prerequisite to effective service for God." - Unger's Commentary on the Old Testament

"Those are fittest to be employed for God who are low in their own eyes and are made deeply sensible of their own weakness and unworthiness." - Matthew Henry

In Exodus 33:20, the Lord God spoke to Moses and said - "...Thou canst not see My face: for there shall no man see Me, and… Continue

CD Release Concert Tonight:

7pm @ CCM

Crazy... It's finally here. It's been 3 years since my last release. It took

6 months to record. And the band spent the last 4 weeks cramming like it's

the SAT. But we're ready, and we're so stoked. I just really hope Kanye West

doesn't show up screaming that Beyonce's CD release was infinitely better.

There's no way I can't compete with "Single Ladies". Or that Youtube video

with the dancing baby. Not a… Continue

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD YOU WILL FIND YOUR GOLD

"The happiness of those that love God, and devote themselves to His service, is substantial and satisfactory." "Spiritual and eternal things are the only real and substantial things." - Matthew Henry

"They that love Me(Wisdom) shall not be losers by Me. " - Biblical Illustrator - Old Testament

Proverbs 8:20-21 says - "I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment. That I may cause those that love Me to inherit substance; and I will fill their… Continue

The Grinch That Saved Christmas,,,,,,,,,

Christmas is around the corner, and another opportunity to experience the

joy of being politically incorrect.

T'was 2 nights before Christmas

When all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying

Nor taking a stand.

See, the PC Police had taken away,

The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing,

About shepherds and wise men and angels and things.

“It might hurt people's feelings, “ the… Continue

Expression of God

The Expression of God by Joe La Bianca

1 CORINTHIANS 12:1-7

We have seen from the last chapter that God does not kill his children to train them. Once a person is dead, the training is over. So this proves that those Christians who were sick and dying in chapter eleven were that way because the Christians that could have helped the poor around them did not discern the body. They were ignorant of the poor Christians at the fellowship and at communion, so Paul rebuked… Continue

Gods Road Crew,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Sometimes people on road crews are not very popular. I appreciate the

work these crews do, but it seems they always do it at the worst time,

like during rush hour. What I have never understood is why they have

to close lanes miles before the work site. They block off the entire

freeway, while, they are way over on the other side doing their work.

Some people get rather angry with them.

John the Baptist was on God's road crew. The Bible describes him… Continue

IF GOD SENT YOU ON A NEGATIVE ERRAND, WOULD YOU GO?

"It is a rare thing to find one who is fit to go for God, and carry His message to the children of men."

"Such a degree of courage for God and concern for the souls of men as is necessary to make a man faithful, and withal such an insight into the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven as is necessary to make a man skillful are seldom to be met with."

"None are allowed to go for God but those who are sent by Him; He will own none but those whom He appoints...It is Christ's work to put men… Continue

My Thoughts On { Loss & Greving}

As I began to think about Loss & Greving - Phil 3.7-14 comes to

> mind. The passage begins by talking about ³loss² and in verse 8 it mentions

> ³gain.² In verses 12-14 the language (from the NIV) speaks of. ³I press on to

> take hold of, ³forgetting² and again ³press(ing) on.²

>

> I find it interesting in that as I have learned to appreciate the grieving

WHAT YOU DO FOR JESUS CHRIST IS NOT IN VAIN!

"A great deal of the labour of faithful ministers is labour in vain; and, when it is so, it cannot but be a great grief to those who desire the salvation of souls."

"The labour of ministers is in vain upon those who begin in the Spirit and end in the flesh, who, though they seem to set out well, yet afterwards turn aside from the way of the gospel."

"It is the devil's design to hinder the good fruit and effect of the preaching of the gospel. If he cannot hinder ministers from… Continue

GOD'S LAMENTATIONS / MAN'S LOST OPPORTUNITIES

"To look back on the past, and see what we have missed, is a good lesson for the future." - Pulpit Commentary - Old Testament

"What might have been!"

These have to be the saddest words ever spoken.

What might have been in your life - if only you would have...?

In the Scriptures, we find the Lord God Almighty lamenting over the loss that His people suffered. Their misfortune did not happen because He withheld from them His blessings. It happened… Continue
