Salvation

The cross of Jesus stands for forgiveness, not the good works of people. When someone believes that Jesus died in their place, they are forgiven. Good works play no part in this. True, after someone is a child of God, they are given a new heart by grace through faith, but that is only a result of something else. The something else is faith in God’s Son that was given. Our one requirement is to just believe in the cross, THAT IS ALL! Good fruit is ancillary. That means that a change life is not… Continue

Both Ways

We can’t have it both ways. We can’t have Jesus and works-salvation. Pick one, but don’t mix old with new. When we put new wine in an old wine-skin, the new wine bursts the bottle, and we lose both. Either stay with the old bitter wine of works, or drink the new wine of the Cross. When we mix hot with cold we get something lukewarm. We may think we’re right. We may think that there’s no way we’re wrong about God. Yet nevertheless if we are mixing Grace with works in our lives or our beliefs, we… Continue

Have You Heard?

Have You Heard?

Ephesians 3:2. Have you heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to Paul for you? This is a strange sentence, isn’t it? What does this mean? Well, let me give my opinion on the matter so you can either accept or reject it.

I want to know if you’ve heard about some really good news. I want to know if anyone has ever told you something very important. I want to know if you listened to the person who tried to tell you. I want to know if you… Continue

"And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion toward them and healed their sick." Mathew 14:14

Our challenge today!

Have you ever looked at a crowd of people and thought, "I wonder how many of them deserve to be healed?"

It's a good question isn't it? In this case their was 5000 people that began to follow Jesus, out of the 5000 Jesus never stopped and thought; "I'll heal this one because they deserve it or… Continue

One Thing

Are you a thoughtful person? Do you ever wonder why you were put here on this earth? Or do you just live each day without a deeper meaning? We are here for many reasons, but without the one thing needful, all is for nothing. If we lack a certain something, we will lose everything.

God has provided for us, and it is important that we realize this. Everybody on earth falls short of God. So God made a Way to Himself. God will only accept perfection, so instead of leaving us hopeless, He made… Continue

The Legalist

The legalist is convinced that he is a guide for the blind. He relies on himself, and preaches self-reliance to those he esteems to be blind. The legalist believes that he can train the ignorant and instruct those in darkness, but he cannot. The very sins he denounces, he himself commits. He believes that he obeys the law because he merely possesses the law. However, it is not enough for a person to have a copy of the Torah, or the tablets of stone, for that matter. For a person to be justified… Continue

The Cell

The human cell is so complex that it cannot be explained to a audience of doctors, lawyers, and so on. Only those who spend their lives devoted to this field of science can only partially understand it. Here is a simplistic explanation of the cell. It contains more information on a microscopic level than man, with all his technology, can condense. Man cannot condense information like the human cell can. The cell then transcribes that information. It writes it down like someone who copies a… Continue

The Happy Median

Some try to earn salvation by works. Some think it's alright to live in sin. Both mistakenly think they are right with God. Where is the "HAPPY MEDIAN"? It's not in trying to partially earn salvation and letting Jesus's cross supplement your human efforts. It's not in justifying a little sin and settling into the acceptance of wickedness. Who is right: the religious legalist who emphasizes regulations and commandments, or the licentious person who thinks that a habitually sinful lifestyle… Continue

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1John 2:15

Our challenge today!

There is three things that God hates, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. All three of these are man-made, they are not from God and they take the attention away from God and what he stands for and places the attention on man. We are not to worship any man, not… Continue

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8,9

Our challenge today!

What should we do when we just don’t understand what God is doing? For some of us who like to fix everything this is a hard pill to swallow, knowing that we can’t do it, admitting that it is beyond our… Continue
