- Born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario, located at the south end of Georgian Bay, I was raised in a "Christian" home and my parents got me involved in our local church with what seemed like every available youth activity: band, choir, youth group, bible study, etc.
Growing up was a little tough at times but Christ's love transcended and the foundation for a Godly life was laid.
Driving long haul transport truck in 1997, I was home in between runs when a sudden headache gradually worsened to the point that I phoned someone to take me to the hospital. They dropped me off and told me to call them for a ride home when I was done. Well, the hospital staff did some tests and I didn't go home for about a month because they found I had bacterial meningitis, which is highly contagious. Quarantined in my room family members that came to visit had to put on protective masks gowns and gloves etc, and it seemed like they were coming in to see me one last time. I over heard someone say that I had a 50/50 chance of making it because they found the meningitis early and they were giving me double doses of the powerful antibiotics.
I slept a lot. One time when I awoke, I turned to look out the window at the sky and saw the clouds forming a stairway up to heaven and wondered if this was the end for me. God had placed a call on my life and for one reason or another I had not answered that call. I asked His forgiveness and promised to obey His calling if He gave me another chance.
It hasn't always been an easy road but serving Jesus is the most rewarding experience anyone could ever do.
Now living in Tweed, ON. My mission is to tell others of the love and grace of Jesus Christ and what He has done for me, through word and song.
