About Me:: Dr. Marvel Lang is Soulful Gospel Singer you don’t want to miss. He is Co-Artist with his wife “Dr. Allean Varanado Lang”, on a recording called “Sing the Songs That Mama’nem Used to Sang”. You can hear his powerful voice being manifested throughout the Cd with such soulful flavor….you can’t help but to enjoy listening to him sing

Dr. Lang has since recorded his Debut Single Release and is now stepping out on his own into the gospel arena to give people more of what God has blessed him to give…Good Anointed Gospel Music! He has a single released song called “Hallelujah Let's Praise Him” that has quartet written all over it. But this song has a contemporary flavor that brings about uniqueness to the listener that takes them to an experience far beyond their expectations.

Dr. Lang is an ordained minister who has been preaching the gospel since 1969. He grew up in rural southeast Mississippi on a farm outside the town of Bay Springs in Jasper County. His formative years were during the late l950s and 1960s during the height of the Civil Rights Movement in the South. He has been singing the gospel since an early age and has been involved with several gospel groups on a local level.

Dr. Lang is not only a singer / minister; he also has an undergraduate degree that was received at Jackson State University in Mississippi in 1970 with high honor. His M.A. degree was received at the University of Pittsburgh in 1975 and his Ph.D. at Michigan State University in 1979. He is currently a Professor of Social Science at Michigan State University where he has been since 1986. Previously he was a professor at Jackson State University and worked as a professional researcher at the U.S,. Census Bureau in Washington, D.C. He currently is a member and minister at the Tabernacle of David COGIC in Lansing, MI under Pastor Larry Mitchell Trice, Jr. He is married to Dr. Allean Varnado Lang who is a gospel singer, songwriter and evangelist.
