Carlos Aleman is a fine Artist/Designer/Illustrator from Florida. He and his wife Jean are working on a children's book called The Life of Reuben. She is writing and he is illustrating. They are trying to get it published, so please pray for them. I have seen the trailer for it and can tell you it is truly magical. You will also find more art, portraits and pencil drawings at his site (click his name).
I must tell you that what has drawn me to the work of this man is none of the above. An audio/video presentation Genuine Love that he created was what captured and inspired me. I cannot say enough good things about it. In terms of presenting one of the more difficult and important teachings of Christ, it is masterfully well done and I rate it a must see for all.
I consider myself honored and privileged to have an artist of such world class talent display some of his work here. You will find some real gems in this slide show that simply radiate with life and vitality. He seems to have captured the essence of life itself in some of these portraits and nature scenes. I have no doubt you will find his work as inspiring and magical as I do.
The art of Elizabeth Stewart
Elizabeth Stewart was born in Richmond, Virginia. She obtained four Diploma's in Bible College and is still an Evangelist with the Church of God In Christ. She has turned devastating illness into an opportunity to draw and write.
Her work has been published and she has made a cover for a book. Her artwork appears on television with an International Ministry, "The Sword of the Spirit". A Gospel CD she co-produced, is now on radio stations in the Persian Gulf, India, and Australia. She has won 38 Awards including the Emerald Web Award.
In all modesty she says, these are not her talents and gifts, God just uses her as a willing vessel. I have personally witnessed the impact her life and Art Ministry have had in the online community. I am honored to have a woman of such integrity and talent display her work here. May it Bless and inspire you, as it has me and countless others.
Gary N. Roussell Attended Columbus College of Art Design in Columbus OH, Essex County College in Newark NJ, and duCret School of the Arts in Plainfield. He has been drawing for 28 years, making pencil renderings from photographs, drawing portraits, and creating images of trucks, cars, and landscapes. He also draws on request, in fact, he just finished a portrait of his friends' children.
It all started in his youth, when his late mother gave him paint by number kits for Christmas. A strong interest in racing and cars have made them a favorite theme, and his work has been featured in shows and street fairs.
Gary believes it is time to “give back to God what He has given him” and has created GT711 Ministries. He combines artwork with calligraphy, using Bible verses or poetry, to convey a meaningful message - suitable for Gospel tracts and greeting cards.
Brenda Phelps – is a woman who loves God and family. Married to a Minister for almost 40 years - she loves to talk at women's retreats, pray for the sick, visit hospitals and nursing homes, teach Bible studies, and help wherever her Church needs her. She has a love of the outdoors and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her gift for oil painting and drawing is natural and untrained. Her love of nature and family is a strong theme in her work, resulting in quaint and colorful outdoor scenes, which are quite charming.
Nature Photos by Len Rich
Len Rich (1938-2009) was my Father, so I will attempt to be as objective as I can with this biography. He was a writer, whose main claim to fame was the outdoor genre, although he dabbled in other areas, such as children's books and science fiction. As a writer for Eastern Woods and Waters and other Hunting/Fishing magazines, as well as his own books, he always carried professional photography equipment.
He accumulated a massive number of images, most of which are on high quality slides. He did not place the same value on them as you or I might, his field was writing and he wanted to be recognized as a word smith, not as a shutterbug. Perhaps 2 years before his passing, I asked him how many of these images he had as high quality slides. He said he had boxes full of them, perhaps several thousand slides in all.
If you like nature scenes, especially lakes, rivers, mountains, and shockingly beautiful sunsets, you have come to the right place. This slide show chronicles the wilderness adventures of outdoor writer Len Rich.
The Nature Art of Lori Rich
Lori Rich is my sister and an exceptionally gifted artist. Her gift is natural and untrained which makes it all the more impressive in my eyes. She is a fine lady and donated her talents to making a CD cover for Dave Butler. She also donated her talents in the making of the cross silhouette I use as a logo. She lives in a remote wilderness town in Northern British Columbia.
I found most of these pictures stuck to the walls of my Mother's house. They were discolored from age, wrinkled, torn, and full of thumb tack holes. Through the magic of digital processing they were brought back to life.
There are people who would give almost anything to have talent like this. What we don't use we lose. If you are an Artist, review her work and contact her. Encourage her to continue with her artistic endeavors. The opinion of a brother doesn't carry much weight - but I think her Art is wonderful.
Graphics by Ken Rich
Ken Rich Believe it or not, that waterfall is right out my back door, I can take shots of it from several angles without even leaving the house. The street outside is actually the beginning of a woods road. It is a doorway to a vast wilderness, or in the other direction a 5 minute walk to a saltwater wharf.
I know what it is to live in the big cities, where you can see the air you breathe, and all around is stress and bustle. That is why I am happy to share my pictures with you. God's handiwork is evident in nature, and one only has to contemplate the wonder of it all, to deepen your relationship with him.
Thank you for the invitation Ken. Peace be with you! Beauty comes from the treasures of our heart, the treasures God has hidden in an earthen vessel. God's kingdom in the heart of a man. What a glorious Mystery, yet what an awesome Truth!
